Fire Garden Pottery / Andrea Brown
Location: Roslindale House
It seems to me that humans have primal urges to play in the mud and with fire. Making pottery satisfies both of those needs. That one then generates functional objects for eating, drinking and ritual makes the activity compelling to me. I feel connected to a millenia-long, honorable craft that is about sustenance of life. My goal is to make well designed forms that are beautiful and durable for daily use. I’m looking forward to Roslindale Open Studios, excited to be bringing many new pots. See you there!
