Medium: Drawing and Sculpture
Location: Home Studio - 40 Fletcher Street
In an effort to back all corners of the ring, and with a tip of the hat to a classic double bill, Rachel Hammerman produces both art and craft in her Fletcher Street studio. Her architectural drawings of space, memory, and the allure of nuanced vagaries, are exhibited regularly throughout Boston and greater New England. Her clay figures are fashioned as cake toppers, ornaments, mezuzah covers, and just plain companions [in a totally non-creepy, and inanimate way - you know, like sculpture]. At the core of her work, in ink and in clay, is an intense focus on detail, and on all the intricacies which make everything worthwhile.
